Devnexus 2026
Devnexus 2026 is a wrap! I've attended all but one Devnexus. There is always a ridiculous amount of good content, and I always have a list of things to check out in greater depth in the following weeks.
I'm particularly interested in Tessl, which is essentially a package manager for agentic skills. I have spent a lot of time working with Claude Skills recently. Tessl has functionality that evaluates skills, and I am looking forward to running the ones I've created through it probably later this afternoon. Look out for a future post on the topic!
I spent most of my time in the Quarkus/LangChain4j booth along with my colleague, Eric Deandrea, who is a committer to both projects. I have mostly used LangChain4j through Quarkus LangChain4j, which is part of the Quarkiverse, but it is a standalone project that can be run in any Java application..
We had a lot of traffic at the booth, and a lot of good conversations about both Quarkus and LangChain4j. Most of the people I spoke with are just beginning to embed AI in their applications. Agentic coding was certainly more prevalent among the people I spoke to at the booth.
The Picture
This was the Red Hat booth for Devnexus 2026.
