The Picture
The picture was taken in Neuchâtel, Switzerland during the planning for the initial release of Quarkus. It was a great trip because we knew Quarkus was something great, the work was really fun, and it was my first time in Switzerland.
I watched General Magic on the flight over. It's a documentary about General Magic, an almost unbelivably innovative Apple offshoot that created the first mobile phone. It is an excellent movie and a cautionary tale for product teams! I can highly recommend the movie to anyone in technology or any fan of Apple products. The Quarkus team avoided the pifalls that trapped General Magic.
